Pupil Premium Allocation, Use & Impact on Attainment

The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding provided to schools to help close the gap in educational achievement between disadvantaged pupils and their peers. It was introduced in April 2011 and is allocated to support:

  • Pupils who have been eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years (known as ‘Ever 6 FSM’)

  • Children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months

  • Children who have been adopted from care

  • Children of service personnel

At Leigh on Mendip Primary School, we are committed to using Pupil Premium funding effectively to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
