Swallow Class

Welcome to Swallow class! We are made up of a wonderful team of enthusiastic children and teachers! Mrs Phillips teaches on Mondays and Tuesdays, Mrs Smith teaches on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and Mrs Gomes, our wonderful TA support, is here from Monday – Friday.

We love to learn in Swallow class and are always ready to get stuck into any new project. Our methodology is to be inquisitive, ask questions, don’t be afraid to get it wrong and explore. We are resilient, eager and always keen to do our absolute best!

As teachers we feel it is important to share our interests with the children in our class and we love how they in turn, share their enthusiasm for the things they love. Mrs Phillips is a keen dancer and is skilled in contemporary and ballet. She loves to spend her spare time walking, exercising, baking and relaxing with her family!

Mrs Smith has a passion for books and is a keen writer. She has written three rhyming picture books and is currently in the process of trying to get them published. In her spare time she loves to cook, watch live bands, exercise and chill with her family.

Mrs Gomes is known as quite the handy woman! She is very keen on DIY - no job is too much of a challenge for her! In her spare time she loves to play sports, go on walks and enjoys gardening.

Mrs Phillips, Mrs Smith and Mrs Gomes believe that it is never too late to be inspired to learn something new and so they have taken on the challenge to learn some new instruments this year. Mrs Phillips is learning the violin, Mrs Smith, the guitar and Mrs Gomes, the piano – watch this space!!

Our learning environment is happy, vibrant and exciting and the children in our class are kind, caring and compassionate. We are a very lucky team of adults and children that do our best and have lots of fun along the way!
